Zoe Tiganouria Receives Gold Medal of Alexander and Virginas the Great – Greece

In early November, 2025, Zoe Tiganouria was awarded the Gold Medal of Alexander and Virginas the Great, as part of the 42nd award of the institution founded by Mr. Dinos Koubatis, president of the International Cultural Organization “The Cafe of Ideas”.

The event took place at the Salamina City Hall Theater in Salamina, Greece and honored important personalities from around the world, from the fields of letters, sciences, art and culture.

To express her gratitude for this distinction, Zoe presented (together with her husband Stelio Generalis), two traditional musical themes and one of her own compositions on accordion.

The event took place in collaboration with the newspaper “The Voice of Salamina” and its publisher, Mr. Nikos Giannopoulos and was organized by “The Cafe of Ideas”.

In attendance was the Deputy Mayor of Culture of Salamina, Ms. Sofia Karnezi.
